I received this email from a client recently.
“Hi Ramon.
I’m creating lower-priced courses, consulting, etc.
I’m checking out KAJABI & PODIA for my CRM & Store to sell stuff.
Kajabi is double the price. Do you have any thoughts or experience with these?
Podia does pretty much everything I need for half the price, so I’m leaning towards Podia.”
That’s a good question.
I’ve spent a lot of time testing all kinds of software and helping others with their tech problems. But before choosing, I would think about your objective and what you trying to accomplish.
Overall, I’m not a fan of Kajabi. It has a good membership feature and everything else is limited.
Overall, it’s overpriced.
When you are selling courses, or just about anything online, the most powerful asset is email and automation.
Why?
Because the fortune is in the follow-up.
Most of your sales will come from your email follow-up.
I have many powerful strategies that are tied to using targeted email to speak to the person in a personal way based on where they are at in the funnel. This includes special promotions and handling unique objections.
All targeted to the individual and the past actions they have taken.
All with email and automation.
So, if you want a membership platform get one, but your email platform needs to be a capable one.
Some membership platforms… eh-herm… try to do it all and don’t quite do it well.
Having said that, I have had a lot of clients who use Kajabi successfully.
But none of them use it for email. And if you must pick one…
Well, I think you know where I’m going. Really, I’m trying not to be TOO critical, but that’s been my experience.
